Hells sand covers Arizona A huge dust storm has hit Phoenix
A dust storm engulfed the Phoenix area on Monday afternoon, October 3rd. Local residents witnessed how a wall of sand and dust collapsed on the cities. Day literally turned into night. Meteorologists are reporting wind gusts in the area of over 50 mph. Visibility deteriorated sharply, and drivers had to urgently turn on their headlights and slow down. Residents are reporting fallen trees in various parts of Phoenix. There was a strong wind, and a lot of dust, it became so dark , says one of the eyewitnesses. I17 is closed in both directions at Dunlap and Peoria avenues as a precaution. Bad weather in Arizona has damaged homes and left nearly 100, 000 people without power.
