Whangamata to Onemana, NZ

This has got to be one of the best one day paddles, that is fairly close to home (about an hours drive), that I have done. The scenary is simply superb and the beaches along the way offer a nice break in between for rest and a bit of lunch. Whenuakura Island (also known as donut island and the island we paddling IN to) is a wildlife sanctuary and in 2013 they ruled out landing on the island so try to refrain from doing so.
