A Class Divided full film FRONTLINE
JANE ELLIOTTS, A CLASS DIVIDED TEACHING HOW RACISM IS ENGRAINED IN 1968. SHE TAUGHT AN IMPORTANT LESSON. The day after Martin Luther King, Jr. was killed a teacher in a small town in Iowa tried a daring classroom experiment. She decided to treat children with blue eyes as superior to children with brown eyes. That lesson has been one of the most effective ways of teaching America how racism is implanted. In a video from that day, FRONTLINE explores what those children learned about discrimination and how it still affects them today. It is a lesson America has yet to learn. In 2019 Donald Trump and his devotees are fighting against that lesson. Trump is teaching Americans how to hate. We strongly encourage you to watch all the segments of this Frontline program. Jane Elliott is still teaching, and she is still far ahead of the race
