For more than a year Dutch farmers have been protesting onerous new regulations on nitrogen that they feel will force them to sell their farms, and now those farmers are seeing results at the ballot box. The new profarmer party, BBB, made unprecedented gains in recent regional elections, and will wield substantial political power as a result in the new government.
