Shocking Japanese World War II Museum
A stroll around the Yushukan, Japan s premier military museum adjacent to the controversial Yasakuni Shrine in central Tokyo. This museum presents a revisionist take on Japanese history, including downplaying or even failing to mention mass atrocities perpetrated by the Japanese before and during World War II including the Rape of Nanking, The BurmaThailand Death Railway, Bataan Death March, Sandakan Death March, activities of the Kempeitai, treatment of Allied POWs and civilian internees, and many more horrific examples of Japanese military cruelty. It is also where war criminals such as Hideki Tojo are honoured and memorialised.
