Douglas Shire can t get enough water as filtration system struggles to filter muck

Douglas Shire Mayor Michael Kerr says Port Douglas had way too much water and now they cant get enough as the filtration system is having a hard time filtering the muck in the water. Well, we managed to get our water flowing through to Port Douglas, but we just cant get a trick right at the moment weve gone from having way too much water to we just cant get enough water, Mr Kerr told Sky News Australia. So, because of all the landslides that have happened throughout the regional area, there is a lot of turbidity in the water and a lot of muck thats in there, and the filtration systems having a really hard time getting enough water into Douglas for what we need for our residents. Weve put an urgent alert out for a restriction four and asking residents to just use what you need to.
