Bio By She Rox All Female Bands: There are indeed bands that were at the forefront of new movements in music, and many fade out unfortunately way to soon, the story of Houston, Texas based hardcore rockers Manhole, is one of these bands for sure. The band began in 1990, when hair metal ruled the world and left much more than just their mark on a then thriving music scene that Houston was becoming at the time. Manhole was founded by Eev Rodriguez, a well known bassist who also served as a band manager for local Houston legends Bayou Pigs, when she was asked by two local female musicians to start a hardcore all female band. The bands original drummer would recommend vocalist, Allison Gibson, who also brought in a strong song writing aspect to go alongside Rodriguezs already established writing skills. The band secured their line up when bassist Chris Nine was brought in by 1991, then bassist Eev Rodriguez switched to guitar, along with a replacement on drums by heavy hitter D.
