When I hear people talk about kornchannel I usually hear them mention that clicky, THUNDEROUS bass sound that characterizes their music. I absolutely love when a band is commonly characterized by their bass player it proves JUST how powerful and effective the instrument can be, even in a genre like nu metal. I had a fun time with this KoЯn reaction trying to dissect exactly what Reginald Fieldy Arvizu does on a technical level but make no mistake, its one of the most signature bass sounds in the heavy music scene. To me, it blends the visceral feeling of classic hiphop records with the driving intensity of heavy metal.
