Father And Why Not (1922)

Intertitle reads: Every day, in every way, he gets larger and Texas: a very large man walks along in front of a house with a veranda. He wears a white suit and a cowboy hat. He stands beside a man and a young boy all three of them look fairly miserable. Presumably they are his sons. He weighs 50 stone. He holds up his trouser leg to show his fat calves. His leg is contrasted with his sons. They are both wearing sock suspenders. The son points to his own leg and his father s for comparison. Father and son hold up pairs of each others trousers to show the vast difference. Four sons manage to all get into a pair of the father s trousers. There is then a shot of the whole family it seems to be a large one. He has two babies balanced on his shoulders and other sons and daughters gathered around him. Everyone smiles and laughs.
