Juan Atkins Live at Tresor

A rare mix from the originator of Techno, Juan Atkins, as part of the celebration of three decades of Tresor, the German nightclub, label, and institution. Recorded at the Tresor club in Berlin at the beginning of 2020, before the Covid19 pandemic turned the world upsidedown, the mix spans the full spectrum of subgenres that Techno has evolved into from its beginnings with Juan and his peers in 1980s Detroit. As such the mix is true testament to the genre from one of its founding fathers. Juans classic track I Love You features on the forthcoming Tresor 30 compilation 52 tracks of classics and exclusive commissions that map the flight path of Techno from the pioneers to the producers of today and tomorrow. This alongside the recent reissue of the seminal 3MB record Juan made alongside Moritz Von Oswald and Thomas Fehlmann perfectly encapsulates the longlasting connection between Juan Atkins and Tresor, between Detroit and Berlin.
