They introduced electronic indie to the youth of Moscow with the release of debut record, Tropical, which was remixed by multiple artists and repressed as a separate vinyl. The bubbly quartet writes sensational, danceable indie music that balances out the feeling of January in Moscow. After playing together for nine years, Pompeya have hit their stride with help from their label, No Shame Records. Known for upbeat disco pop, their newest release, Real, shows a more fullyrealized Pompeya. Its more somber and laid back, but equally as funloving and experimental.
