I recently purchased the Helios 442 58mm f2 lens and decided to compare it to my Sigma 2470. Both lenses used the following ND filters: Helios 442: Hoya 52mm VND Sigma 2470: Peter McKinnon VND II 25 stops I shot everything wide open to get the most bokeh and did minimal color correction in post. Footage was also graded using the Mark Bone Kodak High Con Sat LUT set to 100 intensity. To make the Helios lens work on my Sony I had to purchase an adapter; here s the one I bought from
