Riots break out in Rotterdam after Dutch government tightens Covid restrictions
Violent riots broke out in Rotterdam on Friday night as hundreds gathered to protest against the Dutch government bringing in new Covid restrictions for unvaccinated people. Police fired warning shots and used water cannons to break up the crowd, later confirming that a number of people suffered injuries in connection with the shots. Footage shows a number of fires on the streets of the city, while protesters also set off flares and fireworks during the unrest.
