Enpi (燕飛), also frequently transliterated as Empi, is a kata practiced by Shotokan and other karate styles. Enpi means Flying Swallow Because of this dynamic form of combat, this kata resembles a swallow in flight. Kata Enpi has always been performed at high levels of competition and to this day is one of my signature Kata. It has a high level of difficulty, requiring speed, precision, and great balance.
