December 2018. The number of working people in Poverty in the UK is the Highest in 20 years according to the Joseph Rowntree Foundation which focuses on tackling Poverty. Relative Poverty is defined as an Income less than 60 of the average of people living in similar circumstances. Four Million Workers in the UK now fall into this group, that is One in Eight, and that figure has Risen by more than 500, 000 in the past Five Years. A National Disgrace.
