Return to Roots Rio de Janeiro, Aug 5th 2022

Max and Igor Cavalera s band playing the entire album Roots and then some more. Jairo Guedes band Troops of Doom had opened the night for them and, during the encore of Return to Roots concert, Jairo played the song Troops of Doom with Return to Roots, which is as close as we get to seeing Sepultura s original lineup playing that song live now. Dino Cazares played the whole concert with Return to Roots and, during the encore, they also played Brujeria s La Migra, with Max Cavalera on vocals. Apart from Brujeria s La Migra and a very short partial rendition of Raul Seixas Sociedade Alternativa, the rest of the concert was comprised of Sepultura s classic tracks from the 1980s and 1990s, from Max Cavalera s time in Sepultura. This recording features most of the concert, minus a few missing fragments. The venue was Sacadura 154, in Rio de Janeiro, RJ, Brazil. The concert took place on August 5th, 2022.
