Spanish 1907 Design Cavalry Sword
This is an example of the last combat sword issued to Spanish mounted soldiers. The first produced were used extensively in North Africa in the Spanish Civil War despite the early 20th century timeframe. This example is World War II era or beyond as this design was used for decades. Spain was renowned for it s blades from the Middle Ages and this sword is a continuation of that history. It was made in Toledo, one of the most famous sword making cities in Europe.
