Shy, lovelorn science teacher Daniel (Moritz Bleibtreu) meets dreadlocked, freespirited street vendor Juli (Christiane Paul) in Hamburg when she sells him a suninscribed ring and tells him he ll fall in love with a woman wearing a similar symbol. While Juli hopes she ll be that woman, Daniel thinks nothing of it until he spots her hitchhiking on the side of the road while he s driving to Istanbul to meet with another woman.
