The ROUGH Executions Of The Commandants Executed In Their Own Camps
During the Second World War, there were many concentration camps which became infamous for their evil treatment of the inmates held prisoner inside. The Commandants were the men who were in charge of the camps, but two of them were brought back to their former camps for their executions. Rudolf Höss was the Commandant of Auschwitz and he was responsible for the deaths of hundreds of thousands, and his site became the largest camp of the Third Reich. Höss after the war was sentenced to death, and he was then taken back to Auschwitz where he was executed on a specially built gallows. But another Commandant who was executed in his own camp was Karl Otto Koch who was the Commandant of Buchenwald. He and his wife Ilse Koch embezzled a huge sum of money from the prisoners and used it to build massive projects at the site.
