Showgirls Bowling (1962)

Leytonstone, London. M, S of two young women dressed in top and shorts, they are leaning against a wall doing leg exercises, C, U of the girls legs as they stretch. M, S of Denise Warren, she stretches her leg over a rail and starts doing ballet exercises. M, S of another girl exercising, L, S of four of the girls doing leg stretches. L, S of four other girls coming to join them, they stand in a line. The narrator explains four of them are from the Windmill Theatre and the other four are from Murray s Cabaret club. Doug Lyons, who is chief coach at ABC ten pin bowling alley, stands in front of them and starts demonstrating how to bowl. The girls nod, M, S as they practice the technique, various shots of them practising. L, S of the eight girls inside a bowling alley, the girls are practising for a showgirls league.
