KUKA robutt testing car seats at Ford factory

Apple, apricot or pear with the human bottom the variety is large. Offering the right comfort for so many different shapes is an important requirement for car seats. That s why they are among the most intensively tested car parts. At the Ford development center in CologneMerkenich, two KUKA robots are responsible for one part of this process. The robots test the new car seats around 25, 000 times, simulating completely different load profiles when getting in and out of the car. Find out more about the KU
