Iraq War: 20 years on, Town of Haditha recalls cruel US massacre
Time can pass, but faint traces of pain and grief cannot be erased as a reminder that some things will never be forgotten. The residents of Haditha know that feeling very well. This Iraqi town fell under the American meat grinder the reason for a cruel raid was the death of a US Marine. The area was subjected to a massacre unprecedented in its inhumanity and rage, in which neither women nor children were spared. RTs Steve Sweeney talked to eyewitnesses of these events.
