AUCKLAND NEW ZEALAND February 22, 2015. The worlds only amphibious boat races were held on Onetangi Beach, Waiheke Island today. The usually tranquil island was full of locals and visitors to watch the 14 amphibious vessels compete in this annual event. The Sealegs concept was developed in New Zealand.
