Caline: CP 60 Wine Cellar Technical Review Teardown
Jo Bass Thank you for demoing this pedal This pedal was given to me by Caline Technologies as a thank you for helping out with the CP81 voltage, noise issue. This is my review of the pedal. This pedal is actually an awesome, inexpensive, useful preamp DI pedal There is an RC4580 op amp driving the XLR, a 4558 op amp driving the 1, 4 buffer circuit, and the drive circuitry is two TI074C quad op amp chips. All very good quality parts This is not a true bypass pedal, contrary to what the website says. You need 9 volts powering the pedal in order to pass any signal through, even if the pedal is disengaged. The 4558 op amp runs the buffered 1, 4 in, out, and the footswitch bypasses that circuit from the drive circuitry. It s not a big deal, but in the traditional definition of true bypass this pedal is not. The XLR is a genuine electronically balanced DI output. There is no ground lift switch becau
