Beck 904 GTS is a Tasteful Tribute to a Legendary Porsche
With a host of American and European classics at home in his garage, John Mathys was after something different in his new trackday car. It had to be something vintage, fast, reliable and capable of drawing some serious attention. Thats when Mathys first saw Becks 904 GTS widebody competition model, a stunning adaptation of Porsches original 904 racer, and he knew this was it. In its completed form, Mathys car is the first production widebody competition model built by Beck and Special Edition. Its powered by a 3. 2liter 911 engine punched out to 3. 4 liters, and a Porsche 915 transaxle puts the power to the wheels. Output is estimated to be 290 hp, more than sufficient in a 1, 700pound car. Randy at Special Edition built the custom wheels, Fuchs centers with BBS halves, and the seats were done by Stefan Schleissing from GTS Classics. All in, Mathys was more than impressed by the quality and driving experience offered by his new 904 GTS.
