Kay De Wolf, Motocross GP Race Winner at 16, Tribute by Jack Stone
At 16 years of age, Dutch rider Kay de Wolf certainly has the motorsport world buzzing. Long in the sights of the factory teams, he joined the Nestaan Husqvaran Rockstar Energy Factory Racing team when still very young. The youngster landed into his debut MX2 motocross world championship season in top gear. He opened his scoring account at his very first GP in Russia with a top ten finish. Much more was to come, though. At the fourth GP of the 2021 season, on his home soil at Oss, he created a sensation by finishing second in the final moto, thereby earning him a podium spot with third overall. It did not take him long to claim his first Grand Prix race victory either. Two races on from his Dutch triumph, he claimed his premier race victory at top level at Lommel in neighbouring Belgium. Kay agreed to be our guest on the Velospitty (Speed Talk) chat show, a project of YouthForce Racing. For the occasion, we put together a tribute video for him, with music and a shoutout kindly provided by South Afr
