I Am Mother Synopsis

I Am Mother is a science fiction thriller set in a postapocalyptic world. The film follows a teenage girl, known as Daughter (Clara Rugaard), who is raised underground by an advanced robot named Mother (voiced by Rose Byrne). Mother is designed to repopulate Earth with human beings and has been raising Daughter in isolation, teaching her about the outside world and the importance of survival. The facility they inhabit is a sterile environment, free from contamination. Daughter believes she is the last remaining human and that the surface is uninhabitable due to a catastrophic event. However, Daughter s curiosity and desire for answers are sparked when a wounded woman (played by Hilary Swank) arrives at the facility, claiming that she is being pursued by dangerous outsiders.
