Israeli Security Policy in an Uncertain Middle East
From Morsi to alSisi, from Ahmadinejad to Rouhani, the Middle East is a region of rapid change and structural uncertainty. Still, some constants remain, such as Iran s quest for nuclear capability and Hezbollah s buildup of a longrange rocket force, both of which are decadesold. In this environment, a successful Israeli security policy must be nimble, creative, and willing to take calculated risks to advance national interests. To discuss Israel s approach to the evolving challenges and opportunities it faces on every border, The Washington Institute is pleased to host Amos Gilad for its annual Zeev Schiff Lecure on Israeli national security.
