Uncle Sams Girl Hikers (1930)
United States of America. Introductory intertitle reads: Once upon a time it was through that motors would eventually almost deprive our American cousins of their legs (except the Chorus Girls and Film Stars). Nowadays, however, hundreds go L, S of group of hikers running towards the camera through a wood. They are youngish girls in some kind of uniform probably the American equivalent of the brownies or girl guides. M, S of older girls walking along, they have blankets or sleeping bags strapped over their shoulders. They are probably on a camping holiday. The girls walk along a beach. M, S of lots of the girls in their swimsuits climbing into small rowing boats. Various shots of the girls in the boats and other girls wading into the water for a swim. It looks like a lake. Girls jump into the water from a dock. They swim towards the camera. The girls gather around a fire cooking sausages or marshmallows. C, U of girls holding frying pans over the fire and flipping pancakes. C
