Fresh from Translation Station: Ya Svoboden I am Free a heavy metal piece from 1997 that is reminiscent of Moody Blues. The song s vocals are were performed by Valery Kipelov, music composed by Sergey Mavrin and the lyrics written by Margarita Pushkina. This is a really beautiful rock ballad that I have been wanting to translate for a while, but all the music videos for this song that I encountered online cut the song short at the ending. So I finally decided to edit the video for this one myself, using clips from the 2015 Russian and Ukrainian TV series Witch, which I translated last year. The video tells the story of Roman s rocky relationship with his abusive wife, Roza, and the rusalka he encounters. Is she real, or only a
