The Beatles Something Isolated Bass ( Cover)

While I m hard at work on the next cover, I thought I d share one of my favorite parts from This bassline was one of the most complex instrumental parts I ve ever tackled. Paul really went all out No verse is the same, no run is articulated the same way. It s a song unto itself. Headphones recommended FYI, I didn t use this take for the final version. Too much amp buzzing, plus there s a few minor inaccurate syncopations in the second verse that I fixed for the actual video. But I do love this take. I know there s honest disagreement about whether Paul used the Hofner or the Rickenbacker. I drift back and forth, but I m partial to the Rickenbacker. I definitely hear some squeaky mutes in there.
