On The Bus T In Paris (1938)

Titles read: ON THE BUST IN PARIS. Paris, France. Various shots of traffic on busy Paris streets and people crossing roads. We then see several shots of Parisian bus drivers being tested for fitness levels in a clinic having their height measured, their blood pressure taken, breathing into a tube, having an xray. One man is watched carefully as he handles a steering wheel, and takes perception and dazzle tests. Another drives a dualcontrolled fixed chassis, mounted on drums so the wheels turn round. There is a screen before him, showing a film shot from a bus driver s cab as several distractions and obstructions come up in front of him. A man is taught how to handle the bus on a grease patch.
