Reports: Former Michigan House Speaker Lee Chatfield accused of sexually abusing teen

Former state representative Lee Chatfield, who also served as the Republican Speaker of the House, is being investigated by Michigan State Police following a sexual abuse complaint. According to the complaint, a Lansing city spokesperson confirmed, the alleged sexual abuse lasted more than 11 years. The sexual relationship between Chatfield and the alleged victim started when she was 15 years old, according to the alleged victim s lawyer. The alleged abuse started while the alleged victim attended a northern Michigan church that Chatfield worked for, and continued at a school affiliated with that church, which Chatfield also worked for.
