Iraq: Thousands march against alleged corruption in Baghdad protest
Thousands marched through central Baghdad on Friday, to protest against alleged government corruption and for the dissolution of parliament. Despite the summer heat of over 50 degrees Celsius (122 Fahrenheit), men, women and children waved Iraqi flags and carried antigovernment banners through the streets, calling on Prime Minister Haider alAbadi to dismiss corrupt officials and to dissolve parliament.
