THE MIKE MENTZER STORY

The Rise. The Fall. The Redemption. Some time ago, I put together a twopart documentary on Mikes life, told in his own words based on some of my own audio material, as well as a series of audio recordings that the late, great bodybuilding journalist, Peter McGough had recorded of Mike while preparing a profile piece on him for Flex magazine back in 1994. However, I recognize now that breaking it into two parts was a mistake, and that the piece needs to be viewed in its entirety to get the whole story. Some viewers only saw one half of the film and assumed that was the whole story. I have attempted to correct this oversight by joining the two halves together into one presentation, which also allows me to make use of certain photographic material from John Balik that I did not have available to me when I first created the film.
