Mehndi (temporary tattoo) for indian hindu women
The evening of 25th of October 2010, in the streets of Pahar Ganji in Delhi, dozens of women made their hands painted with mehndi. This video has been taken at around midnight. They did it because the day after (26October) it was Karva Chauth. Karva Chauth is a festival of married Hindu women. The word Karwa means an earthen pot with a spout, which is used in prayers.
