October 2018. Liverpools Mayor, Joe Anderson, has called for special protection for Homeless People saying as many as One in Three end up getting Physically Attacked, Abused or even Sexually Assaulted. Mr Anderson has called on the Home Secretary to make attacks on Rough Sleepers a Hate Crime. However, Homeless Charities are saying that simply changing the Label would not help.
