MEE correspondent, Mohammed alHajjar, showcases the dire state of Gaza City s alShifa hospital, the largest medical facility in the besieged strip, which shelters stranded, criticallyill and wounded people, amidst the temporary fourday truce. It is lacking medical crews and services and drinking water and electricity. Hajjar reports that the majority of the injured are women and children with nowhere to go, who call for urgent relief. The Israeli army raided Shifa hospital after repeatedly saying that alShifa was a command and control centre for Hamas. Journalists raised doubts on those claims after the Israeli army only presented a small amount of bags with rifles and combat gear after the raid. It has since withdrawn its troops from alShifa after controlling the medical facility for more than a week.
