Shakuhachi Koten Honkyoku: Tsuru no Sugomori

This classical honkyoku is entitled Tsuru no Sugomori, Nesting of the You can hear throughout the piece a shakuhachi technique called tamane, which is similar to flutter tonguing, but rather uses the throat to create the cranelike sound. It was recorded in one take on a 1. 8 Chikushin shakuhachi. Welcome to Taizen Shakuhachi I am a licensed shakuhachi teacher and performer. I received my Jun Shihan license from Yokoyama Katsuya and Ishikawa Toshimitsu and my shihan license from Grandmaster Riley Lee.
