Kidnapped English Boy Found Abroad (1960)
Kidnapped English boy Tony Stephens is found on the content, where his abductor his school art teacher had kept him for fifteen months. Tony was 11 when he was taken. His father, a milkman in Earl Shilton, Leicestershire, left his job and dedicated his life to finding Tony. After a year and half s search, he was successful. According to this newsreel the abductor, Kevin Tracey, was taken to court. No other information about this story can be found on the internet other than a local newspaper record of Tony s return home. How did Tony s father track the boy down What were his leads Tony would be 63 today if he is still alive, and presumably his abductor would have left prison some years ago. A member of the British Pathe Film Archive s Facebook group stated on 15th August 2011 that Tony and his sister were both taken by the art teacher, despite the reel focusing on Tony.
