Grand Tour of a 1850 s Era West Virginia Farm and Homestead by my friend Autumn. At the filming of this tour in January of 2019, my friend Autumn is 75 years old. I have known her for 35 years. She homesteaded this farm with her husband Bob, back in the 1950 s. She raised two beautiful daughters on this farm, as well as a myriad of livestock, working dogs, food crops, preserves, outbuildings, fences, rock walls, bridges, and wonderful, wonderful memories. Although I have visited with Autumn in various places many times over the years, this was the first time I had been back to her farm in I m over 25 years. Autumn s husband Bob, who designed and built many of the structures and systems on this farm, contracted a severe case of multiple sclerosis almost 30 years ago. Nearly completely incapacitated, Autumn took care of Bob on the farm for 25 years, until he needed the constant care of professional medical facilities and personnel.
