M, S of a group of students stood by the gallows in front of a sign saying St Thomas for Hospitals Cup 1962. M, S of a van painted red, white and blue with a sign saying British Elephant to the Moon Project, it pans down to the door which has Mary s for D C written on it. Various shots of the van being prepared, including a man tying barbed wire round the bottom. The narrator explains this is the final of the Hospitals Cup between students at St Thomas s and St Mary s, and they are preparing their vehicles for the battle. M, S as three young men load up the converted taxi with boxes which include smoke bombs and soot bags. Various shots of the students getting ready and driving off, they are watched by a big crowd.
