Respected Comrade Kim Jong Un Sends Letter to Those Attending Eighth Congress of General Federation of Trade Unions of Korea The 8th Congress of the General Federation of Trade Unions of Korea (GFTUK) was held in Pyongyang on May 25 and 26. The congress comprehensively analyzed and reviewed the trade union work during the period under review and discussed the tasks and practical ways for fully demonstrating the cohesion of the heroic working class and militant might of the trade unions in carrying out the decisions made at the 8th Congress of the Workers Party of Korea (WPK) and the 2nd Plenary Meeting of the 8th Central Committee of the WPK by bringing about a fundamental turn in the trade union work.
