Motherland in Crysis
Proof of concept video for using advanced game technology for film production. This video is a demonstration of the potential of realtime rendering for film previz, mattepaintings, set extensions and architectural visualization using CRYENGINE2, the engine that powers the game CRYSIS. Art and assets were built for the shortfilm MOTHERLAND, they were modeled in Autodesk Maya and exported into CRYENGINE2 for lighting, shading and realtime rendering. Everything in the video is realtime, no additional compositing was done with the image. Capturing was done using Intel QuadCore 3. 2Ghz and Nvidia GTX260 1920x108025fps Video was featured at Siggraph 08 Intel Tech Talk about convergence of game and film technologies.
