Diy vintage turquoise paint technique
Add some impact with turquoise blue paint, stain and a few tricks of the trade in this video I use the term white wood this doesn t mean white painted wood, it simply refers to the species of wood such as fir, pine, spruce etc that are white in colour. This effect needs to be completed on bare wood either a new build piece or a complete stripped down item. You can use the brushing technique over a previously stained item of furniture however you will need to degloss the existing clearcoat that s on there by wiping it over with some TSP or Similar. Colours used in this tutorial are Paint: Beautitone Cabinet and Furniture Paint Blue Bliss (sorry its a Canadian brand :( ) Stain: Minwax Provincial Minwax Red Mahogany or Red Oak Varathane (Rustoleum) Dark Walnut Top coat Helmsman Spa Urethane Gloss
