Actress Julia Foster looks at some Chinese porcelain in a cabinet; M, S of the bed where Winston Churchill was born. Standing next to the bed, Tommy Steele is helped into his cloak, as commentator explains that the film Half A Sixpence is being shot at Blenheim. Various shots show the company preparing to shoot the scene where Tommy, as Kipps, disgraces himself before high society at a posh dinner; a wardrobe mistress checks maids uniforms; candles at the banquet table are lit; makeup is touched up; an arc lamp is adjusted. Director George Sidney looks through an eyepiece as he lines up a shot; the actors take their places at the table. Outside the Palace a line of extras dressed in servants livery queue up to get food at a catering caravan.
