Forward Repair System NATO ( FRSN) M18 2019
The Forward Repair System NATO is a mobile containerized crane and workshop with unique capabilities to lift the power pack of a Leopard 2. FRSN consists of several individual components built and placed within the dimensions of a 20foot container. The FRSN can thus be transported by all known modes of transportation. The FRSN is a new capability in the Armed Forces. In the event of a breakdown, it has previously been necessary to bring wrecked tanks or vehicles back to the garrison for repair. With the FRSN, the repair can be carried out quickly and flexibly in the terrain. In this way, significant time and resources can be saved. One of the strengths of FRSN is its high lifting capacity and mobility. The FRSN consists of: An extremely powerful crane with a lifting capacity of 7 tons at a radius of 4 meters and at a height of 5 meters.
