From December, 2015. At age 74 Aretha Franklin seems to have rediscovered herself and reclaimed her artistry. Even here, where she is holding back, and keeping it simple and sincere, her talent is still overwhelming and glorious beyond words. How lucky for us all that her voice is part of the soundtrack of our lives. This world would be far less lustrous without Aretha s participation in it.
