4 3 3 vs. 4 4 2 Diamond, Formation Tactics Series
The 433 is one of the most common formations, with a central midfield trio operating ahead of the four man back line, and underneath a front three. The 442 diamond benefits from the strong central midfield presence ahead of the back line of four, with two centre forwards high in attack. This video analyses how the 433 operates when up against a 442 diamond, some suggested patterns, movements, rotations in both the attacking and defending phases. This video is part of the Formation Tactics Series, where we will focus on one specific formation in both the attacking defending moments, when up against a differring structure.
