Man trapped in wrecked truck rescued after surviving six days on rainwater
27yearold Matthew R. Reum of Indiana survived for six days on only rainwater after he was pinned tightly inside his crashed pickup truck under a highway bridge, according to police. The vehicle went off the road ahead of a bridge, and apparently rolled several times before landing on the other side of the creek, hidden from sight of the highway above. The driver was trapped inside the truck for six days before two men, who were looking for fishing spots, noticed the badly damaged vehicle with its airbag deployed. They reached inside, and found Reum awake and very happy to see them. Reum later explained that after the crash, his phone had fallen out of reach so he couldnt call for aid.
